Messiah Messenger – May 2015

But in Extreme Unction [Last Rights, Anointing the Sick] as practiced in our day, there is no prayer of faith. No one prays in faith over the sick, confidently expecting their restoration. Yet James describes that kind of faith in this passage (in James 5)…There is no doubt at all that if, at the present day, this kind of prayer were offered over the sick…as many as we desired would be healed. Nothing is impossible for faith.”
– Martin Luther

Again, we give thanks for the many signs of God’s healing love in our midst – caring for those entrusted to us, restoring the down and out to the working world, saving our brother and sister from foreclosure. Indeed, nothing is impossible with faith. Walk with us in faith, and see where God leads us next.
