500 Years of Reforming Festival Worship
Messiah Lutheran and All Souls Episcopal will join together to mark the 500th anniversary of the Reformation. Join us on Reformation Sunday, October 29, 2017, for a special worship with Holy Communion at 10:00 am. (Please note the change in time for this Sunday only.) The worship will be filled with special readings, activities and music led by a combined choir. Following the service, please stay for a pot-luck and fun activities for the kids such a “Pin the Theses on the Door” and our “Mighty Fortress Bounce House.” Everyone is welcome. We always love to have visitors, but especially on this day 500 years in the making. To learn more about other events and/or find additional resources on this major anniversary of the Reformation, visit our Reformation 500 page.

Traveling Martin Luther
Here-I-Stand---Traveling-Martin-LutherAs Lent began, our children were offered a cardboard, standing Martin Luther figure to accompany them during Lent and through Reformation Sunday 2017, the 500th anniversary of the Reformation. Youth are encouraged (with the help of parents) to take pictures with (or of) their Martin Luther in varied places and perhaps unusual spaces. Humor and creativity are not only allowed but encouraged. Then, send digital copies to Pastor Lou for posting on a special site. Council will select their favorite picture for a special prize. Each month, participating families will receive additional items to help their children grow in the knowledge of Martin Luther and the Reformation, but hopefully in faith as well. (Please submit all entries by Sunday, October 21, 2017.)
